What is "OPEN MOV"?
"OPEN MOV" is a campaign that actively promotes an inclusive environment for all people in the Mid-Ohio Valley. We believe everyone should be welcome regardless of race, religion, ancestry, sex, age, disability, military veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or income status. We believe that diversity is a strength and that all people in the Mid-Ohio Valley deserve fair and equal treatment.
Who can take the "OPEN MOV" Pledge?
We welcome all businesses, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, houses of worship, and others to take the pledge.
Why should my business support "OPEN MOV"?
Promoting diversity and inclusion is not only the right thing to do, but it also drives prosperity and economic growth. In order for the MOV to be competitive we must support our diverse communities. It is time for LGBTQ inclusive non-discrimination practices in the workplace, in housing, and in public accommodations. By signing the Open MOV pledge, you are affirming your commitment for a welcoming and safe environment for all in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
How does the public know who supports "OPEN MOV"?
We have beautifully designed window clings that should be displayed to show your support. We will also post a list of businesses, nonprofit organizations, civic organizations, and houses of worship on our website. The list will contain links to their webpages and social media if applicable. We will also provide an OPEN MOV graphic for the web sites of all pledge signers.
